Our event staff are the face of the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
This means whether you work as a car park attendant, ticket seller, turnstile operator or usher, you become the customer's first and last impression of their MCG experience.
Events staff must accept the ongoing responsibility of being an ambassador and advocate for the MCG at all times.
Event work occurs on weekends or late afternoons to evenings. These hours differ week to week, depending on the fixture. Friday night availability is greatly preferred. To proceed in applying for work, it is important that your availability is flexible at most of these times.

Potential applicants should be aware that the pre-employment program is rigorous and you will need to be prepared for the following once the recruitment process commences:
Step 1: Completion of pre-selection application form
You will be required to complete the pre-selection application form which gives details of the expectations of the role and invites you to respond to a questionnaire.
This application commences the requirement process - all applications will be considered and some applicants will be asked to attend a selection centre.
Step 2: Group selection process
If contacted, you will be invited to attend a selection centre at the MCG.
Our selection centres utilise the skills and abilities of experienced personnel as assessors and through selected activities and general observations in different environments our assessors determine who best matches the requirements of the role.
The group interview will be two hours in duration. You will need to bring your resume with you.
Shortly after the selection centre, you will be contacted either to invite you to a one-on-one interview, or to state that we are not proceeding further with your application.
Step 3: One-on-one interview and reference checks
Interview process including security and reference checks for successful candidates will then be held.
Step 4: Pre-employment induction
Attendance at a three-hour familiarisation session at the MCG, including uniform fitting and photo ID, and completion of a one-hour online health and safety training program.
Step 5: Paid casual employment
This will include further on-the-job induction training.
