Tickets

Become a fan Tickets to all events at the MCG are sold through Ticketek , the contracted ticketing agent for the stadium.

The MCG has a total capacity of just over 100,000 (consisting of 95,000 seats and approximately 5000 standing room spaces).

Most events have a seating configuration that allows for patrons to pre-purchase reserved seats to guarantee entry to the event. Any unsold seats are then available on the day of the event at the gate until sold out.

Tickets sold at the venue on event days from the public gates are sold as general admission tickets on a "first-in, best-dressed" basis.

On some occasions, such as the annual Anzac Day AFL match on April 25 and the AFL Grand Final, all seats are pre-sold as reserved seats and are all allocated prior to the event. This website will provide updates for each event.

It should be noted that each sport or event has its own specific seating arrangements. For instance, a Richmond ‘home’ match will have a seating area set aside for a category of Richmond membership, whereas a club such as Collingwood may have a different seating configuration set aside for their members.

Each Home team seating configuration impacts on what seats are sold to the general public on a match-by-match basis. Please consult the seating plan for a general overview of the ground’s seating areas.

UNDERCOVER SEATING

Please note that it is difficult to accurately classify any seats at the MCG as "undercover" because, even though there is a roof overhead in some sections of the ground, patrons cannot be guaranteed protection from the elements.Back to top
