As part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival’s Roast Collection, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to dine in the Long Room at the MCG on Sunday June 23, 2013.
Lunch will combine the finest catering by EPICURE with outstanding views of the hallowed turf of the MCG and surrounded by magical sporting memorabilia.
The Long Room Roast will take diners back to March 8, 1879 when the Melbourne Cricket Club held a farewell dinner for Lord Harris and the English Gentlemen Cricketers at the Victoria Club.
Despite the dinner being held more than 130 years ago, the original menu has been recreated with an emphasis on showcasing high-quality food and wine from the Victorian region.
