Rohan Connolly (Writer/broadcaster)
Writer for the Sun News-Pictorial from 1983, before joining The Age as a sports sub-editor in 1987. Appointed deputy sports editor in 1990, and chief football writer in 1993. A regular on radio station 3AW’s football coverage. Won the AFL Media Association’s award for Most Outstanding Feature Writer in 2008.

Photography cadet with Standard Newspapers (1981-84). Sports Photographer with The Age (1984-89) and The Sunday Age (1989-93). Joined the Herald Sun in 1993, working as a photographer (1993-96) and pictorial editor (from 1997), before becoming senior photographer in 2001. Won the AFL Media Association’s award for Most Outstanding Action Photo in 2008.
Michael Dodge (Photographer)
Cadet photographer with the Herald Sun (1991-94) before joining Sports Weekly in 1995. Returned to the Herald Sun as senior sports photographer in 1997. Honoured by the Australian Sports Commission in 2007 for his contribution to sport. Walkley Sports Photographer of the Year in 2010.
Sebastian Costanzo (Photographer)
Photographer with The Age from 1975. Has since covered Australian football, cricket, soccer and rugby, including countless VFL/AFL grand finals, Boxing Day Test matches and Commonwealth Games. Received the Australian Golf Writers Association Award for best photo in 2010.

Played 403 games for Richmond before joining Channel 7’s World of Sport program in 1984. Writer for the Herald Sun, Sporting Globe and Sports Weekly. Hosted Grumpy Old Men on Fox Footy (2002-06). Show host on radio station SEN 1116 and regular host for 3AW, 3UZ, 3DB, MAGIC693 and SPORT927.
Clarke Hansen (Broadcaster)
Began broadcasting with radio station 2XL in COOMA in 1964. Joined Coffs Harbour television station TVRN10 in 1967. Sports commentator and editor of Australian football for ABC radio and television from 1967 until retirement in 1997. Covered Olympic and Commonwealth Games.
Doug Heywood (Broadcaster)
Played 54 games for Melbourne (1943-51) before commencing a sports broadcasting career. Regular panelist and commentator on 3AW, and ABC radio and television. Excelled in exquisite phrasing, descriptive passages and astonishing knowledge of the players. Well-regarded tennis commentator.
Peter Le Grand (Broadcaster)
Radio commentator for 33 years, broadcasting more than 1000 football matches on 3UZ (1971-83), 3DB (1984) and 3GL/K-Rock FM (1985-2003). Cricket commentator with 3UZ (1980-82). Won the AFL Media Association’s radio award in 1995 and awarded Geelong Football Club’s RJ Hickey Medal for outstanding contribution to Australian football.
