Car park closure at MCG for Cats-Pies clash

May 12, 2011

Due to the inclement weather to date and the forecast for tomorrow, Yarra Park will be closed for patrons driving to the Geelong Cats v Collingwood match tomorrow night at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

However, please note that access will still be provided to the following people:

  • Those with a valid disabled parking permit.
  • MCG event staff and catering staff.
  • Yarra Park car park pass holders.
  • Those with a valid accreditation (e.g. St John Ambulance, Victoria Police and AFL-accredited media).

A decision will be made on Saturday regarding the status of Yarra Park for Sunday’s Hawthorn v St Kilda match.

The MCG will be available to assist patrons with enquiries on Friday via its Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as via phone on (03) 9657 8888 and email membership@mcc.org.au.
