MCG Rite of Passage photos available

More than 550 Victorians had the opportunity to take to the hallowed MCG turf at the tenth annual MCG Rite of Passage event held on Saturday May 17, prior to the AFL clash between Richmond v Melbourne.

This much loved and eagerly anticipated event provided children with the opportunity to experience what coming to the football was like when mum and dad were kids.

A number of AFL stars were present on the day, including James Frawley (Melbourne), Michael Hibberd (Essendon) and Luke Parker (Sydney).

Successful participants also received a football to kick on the ground and a fantastic show bag.

Many families also took the opportunity to stay and watch the Richmond v Melbourne match from their reserved seating area.

To commemorate this special family day, participants took part in a group photograph on the MCG arena, which was published in today's Herald Sun.

WITH an internal probe being launched and the players’ wives - but not girlfriends - on their way, India’s tour of Australia is getting rather chaotic.
