Good evening!
We are hoping to do the Tour & Sports Museum package on either Monday or Friday of next week - do we need to book in advance or shall we just arrive?? We are a family of 4.
Thanks in anticipation,
Nyree Parker

Hi Jan and Nyree. Thanks for your enquiries. MCG Tours operate between 10am and 3pm from inside Gate 3 in the Olympic Stand on all those days you are visiting. There is no need to book in advance for small groups or individuals.

Hi,
Are there tours tomorrow New Years Day? And is there car parking at MCG?
Thanks,
Glenn

Hi Glenn. MCG Tours will operate as normal on New Year's Day, between 10am and 3pm from inside Gate 3 in the Olympic Stand. There is no car paring available in Yarra Park, however you should be able to utilise some street parking in the Jolimont Street precinct for the duration of your visit.

Hi. I have some friends over from Pommyland who are cricket fans. they are only here until the 7th of January.
Can I get them a tour of the library whjile they are here?
What is the cost and what times are available to visit the library/ Do we need to join a tour group?
Thank You & regards
Bernie Hickie

Hi Bernie. The Library is usually only available to MCC members or those doing research. However, this year there is a special tour of the Crooked Staffe exhibition that the Library has created, which looks at the way cricket has been covered in print during the past four centuries, which is quite fascinating. Please ring 03 9657 8879 for these special tour times and costs.

I just wanted to confirm that there are no events on Jan 29 as we wish to go on a tour on that date?

Hi we are really looking forward to do our visit of the G and museum. Heading to Melbourne for the Crows Game on 22/7/2011 and were wondering if tours operate on the Friday or would we need to come on the thurs?

Posted by: Melbourne Cricket Ground on 05/01/2011 09:45:13 AM

Hi Louise. Typically, when there is a night AFL match at the MCG, the last tour will depart from inside Gate 3 at 2.00pm on that day (in this case, Friday July 22) and the museum would be open until about 3.30pm-4pm. We hope you enjoy!
