Melbourne Cricket Ground - Smoke-Free
Standard Banner

Smoke-Free

The MCG has been a smoke-free venue since the 1999 AFL football season.

Internal bars and dining rooms had been smoke-free at the MCG prior to that, but smoking is now banned in all parts of the ground on both event and non event days. This includes all outdoor seating areas, internal roadways and terraces.

Pass-outs will be issued at a number of gates throughout the day or evening.

In accordance with MCG regulations patrons may be asked to leave the ground if they ignore the ban.
