Australian Sports Museum and MCG Tours

The Australian Sports Museum and MCG Tours have reopened from Monday June 21, following the Victorian Government’s announcement on the easing of restrictions.

Update – June 2021

The Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC), as managers of the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and the Australian Sports Museum, is committed to taking all of the necessary precautions outlined by the Government and health authorities in relation to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The award-winning Australian Sports Museum and MCG Tours are now open 7 days a week from Monday June 21, excluding AFL match days.

The Australian Sports Museum is open from 10am – 5pm. MCG Tours operate from 10am, with the last tour leaving at 3pm. You will need to pre-purchase your tickets here.

This is no ordinary museum. From interactive exhibits to sporting challenges, there’s so much to experience at the Australian Sports Museum. Discover touchscreens, climbable objects and crowd favourite Game On, where you can put your own skills to the test.

The Australian Sports Museum also features a number of special faces sharing first-hand accounts of their sporting story.

A highlight amongst these are life-size 3D holograms of dual AFL Premiership and Richmond Star Bachar Houli and Carlton AFLW Star Tayla Harris.
