Temporary Closures: Australian Sports Museum, MCG Tours and MCC Library

Monday, March 16, 2020

All those at the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC), are thinking of and share concerns for the wider community in the face of the evolving global COVID-19 pandemic.

In light of the recent advice from the Government and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), the MCC will be temporarily suspending operation of the Australian Sports Museum, MCC Library, MCG Shop and MCG Tours from 5pm today, Monday March 16, for the foreseeable future.

This decision was not made lightly, however the health and safety of our staff, our many valued volunteers and all members of the public who visit these spaces is our highest priority.

The Club is mindful of the serious nature of COVID-19 and is committed to taking all necessary steps to minimise the threat to public health going forward.

Those who have booked tickets for the Australian Sports Museum and/or the MCG Tour from Tuesday March 17 will be contacted by the MCC Customer Service team shortly with advice regarding rescheduling or refunds. The MCC Customer Service team can be contacted on (03) 9657 8879.

The MCC will provide updates regarding the closure via our websites; australiansportsmuseum.org.au, mcg.org.au, mcc.org.au as well as the Australian Sports Museum Facebook page
