After overwhelming ticket sales for its Argentina match, Brazil will take on the Socceroos in a second match at the MCG on Tuesday June 13.
Australian football fans are lucky enough to get two opportunities to see world class players in Neymar Jnr, Philippe Coutinho and Marcelo do battle in the sporting capital of the world, when they take on the Socceroos’ stars including Mile Jedinak, Tim Cahill, Aaron Mooy and Massimo Luongo. It will be the first time Brazil has met the Socceroos in Melbourne since the two nations played out a 2-all draw in 1999.
Brazil has won six of the nine match ups against the Socceroos, with Australia’s sole success against the South American powerhouse coming during the 2001 FIFA Confederations Cup, where they won 1-0.
The Socceroos will view the match as a perfect warm-up for their 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup campaign in Russia, beginning on June 19.
