Parents’ Rooms

The MCG has four parents’ rooms located around the stadium on Level 1 (M Level).

These are:

  • Behind M57 (Olympic Stand)
  • Behind M42 (MCC Reserve)

Each room contains private feeding cubicles with armchairs, change tables, nappy disposal units, a microwave, TV, power point, sink and toilet.

To minimise misuse, each Parents’ Room is kept locked on event day. If you need to use this room, please ask a nearby member of staff for assistance.

MCG Parents’ Rooms are recognised Baby Care Rooms with the Australian Breastfeeding Association.

Alcohol-Free Seating

At most events, an alcohol-free or 'dry' section will exist, which prevents alcohol being taken into that area. Please note the size and location of this area will change at the direction of the event promoter.

Wristbands for Children

The safety of all patrons attending the MCG is our priority.

In the event a child gets separated from a parent/guardian, it’s important that staff can reunite the child with a parent/guardian as quickly as possible.

To help with this process, parents are encouraged to obtain a Kids Connection wristband for young children (free of charge) and write contact details on the inside of the wristband. This can help staff efficiently contact a parent/guardian in the event a child is lost.

Obtain a wristbands from the following locations:

  • Stadium Management Centre (Level B1, Ponsford Stand
  • Membership Services Office (Level 1, closest to Gate 2)

Patrons can also get a wristband from the CARE Squad. Ask an MCG staff member wearing the blue uniform to assist.

Prams and Strollers

Strollers that can be folded and stored under your seat are welcome at the MCG.

Prams, or larger strollers that cannot fit under your seat must be cloaked for the duration of your visit to the MCG. Pram cloaking is available at the Stadium Management Centre on Level B1, next to the Bill Lawry Indoor Cricket Centre.

Where possible, we recommend leaving prams and larger strollers at home.

For safety and emergency reasons, prams and strollers cannot be left unattended on the concourse or in accessible seating areas.
