Accessible Seating

Accessible seating is available in all stands at the MCG. Availability is event dependent.

Accessible Seating Types

  • Accessible seating refers to seats or areas set aside for patrons with additional requirements, and includes wheelchair spaces, companion seating and extra amenities seats.
  • Wheelchair bays are for patrons who use wheelchairs. Unless booked with a companion seat, a wheelchair space does not include a seat and it is the expectation that the patron has their own wheelchair to sit in. The MCG does not loan wheelchairs or temporary seats.
  • Extra amenities seats are spaced a little bit further away from neighbouring seats and have more leg room than a standard row seat. These seats are always located on an aisle with no or minimal steps (maximum of 4) to climb.

Locations

To assist you in selecting the location of your seat, please refer to the MCG’s Accessibility Map (PDF).

Shane Warne Stand (Sections 1 – 27)

Accessible seating is only available on Levels 1 and 2 of the Shane Warne Stand.

NOTE: Public availability of accessible seating on Level 2 is restricted during the AFL Premiership Season as this area often forms part of the home club’s season reserved seat or dining room allocations.

Ponsford Stand (Sections 28 – 36)

Accessible seating is available on Levels 1, 2 and 4 of the Ponsford Stand.

MCC Reserve (Sections 37 – 48)

Stadium Levels

The MCG has four levels of seating which are represented by different letters: M, N, P and Q. Your seat ticket will contain your seating section (which begins with one of the previously listed four letters along with a number corresponding to its location in the stadium, such as M26 or Q31), your row letter and a seat number.

  • M sections are on Level 1 (ground level).
  • N sections are on Level 2.
  • P sections are on Level 3 (Level 2A in the Shane Warne Stand).
  • Q sections are on Level 4.
