Parking Option in Yarra Park
While accessible parking is not available at the MCG due to site constraints, Australian Disability Parking (ADP) permit holders may park in Yarra Park, subject to capacity.
All parking in Yarra Park is within grassed paddocks and people arriving by car will need to cross the grass, and in some cases garden beds or sand, to connect with the asphalt pathways.
While our staff make every effort to park cars as close as possible to the MCG, you may be parked up to 300m away from the concourse.
If you require assistance to get from the car park to the MCG gates, a mobility shuttle is available free of charge. Please advise staff on arrival if you require the G-Train Mobility Shuttle Service.
Accessible Options
Accessibility Drop Off/Pick Up
Patrons with accessibility needs can arrange to be dropped off by taxi (or a private vehicle with an Australian Disability Parking permit) at the bus turning circle (corner of Jolimont St and Jolimont Tce).
Please note: Vehicles without an Australian Disability Parking (ADP) permit, including pre-booked Ubers, will not be permitted to enter the bus turning circle.
All other patrons and vehicles without an Australian Disability Parking (ADP) permit are advised to use Clarendon St (near the Pullman Hotel) for their taxi, ride share or private vehicle drop off and pick up.
Nearest Accessible Car Park
The nearest accessible car parking is available at the Melbourne Eastern Plaza car park. This car park is located approximately 350m from MCG Gate 6 via the Melbourne Arena footbridge.
For more parking near the MCG, explore alternative car park options. Please note that these alternative car parks are not operated, owned or endorsed by the MCG and may have their own restrictions in place due to circumstances beyond our control.
G-Train Mobility Shuttle
The MCG Mobility Shuttle Service, the ‘G-Train’, operates during public events held at the MCG. The shuttle service is free and accessible to patrons with mobility challenges.
The G-Train route includes MCG gates, Yarra Park, Jolimont Station and Richmond Station. Pre-booking is not required; simply wait at a designated pick up point for the next available buggy.
Find out more about the G-Train or explore G-Train pick-up points on the MCG stadium map.
Car Park Opening Schedule
To prioritise patron safety due to the unstable state of the grassed paddocks and help improve the condition of the heritage-listed Yarra Park following recent wet weather, the Yarra Park car park will be closed for the remainder of the 2026 AFL season, with no drive up parking available.
Strictly limited accessibility parking at the MCG will only be open to ADP permit holders who have pre-purchased parking passes via Ticketek. We apologise for any inconvenience.
