Getting to the ‘G

On AFL Grand Final Day, the process for entry into the MCG may take longer than usual. To ensure you are inside the MCG in time for the match start, arrive early and leave plenty of time for the entry process.

Download your ticket prior to your arrival at the MCG. To gain entry into the match, scan your digital ticket at the turnstiles.

PARKING IN YARRA PARK
No general public parking is available for this match. Parking is available for accessibility and accredited passholders only. 

Parking for disability permit holders can be pre-booked via Ticketek here.

PRECINCT ROAD CLOSURES

• Brunton Avenue will be closed between 6.00am-10.30pm.
• Jolimont Street & Terrace will be closed between 5.00am-8.00pm.
• Wellington Parade will be closed between 5.00pm-8.00pm.
• Vale Street will be closed between 5.00am-8.00pm.

At the ‘G

• You will be required to enter via the gate listed on your ticket.
• The MCG is a cashless venue. All food, beverage, merchandise and ticketing outlets will be cashless – so all transactions will need to be made on your debit or credit card.
• The MCG is a smoke, e-cigarette and vape free venue. Patrons found smoking or vaping inside the Ground will face immediate eviction.
• At the MCG, your safety is our priority. If you experience any form of antisocial behaviour, please report it by texting 'Assist' to the MCG's antisocial text hotline on +61 409 117 621.

ENJOY THE FOOTY FESTIVAL
The parklands surrounding the MCG will turn into a hub for all footy lovers – with giveaways, entertainment, player appearances, food trucks and activities for people young and old in the days leading up to the big game.

MULTI-FAITH PRAYER ROOM
The MCG Multi-Faith Prayer Room is open to all patrons and located on Level B1 of the Shane Warne Stand (approximately behind bay M13).

Accessibility

The G’ TRAIN MOBILITY SHUTTLE SERVICE
The G-Train Mobility Shuttle Service operates during public events held at the MCG.

The service is free and accessible to patrons with mobility challenges. The G-Train also features vehicles with wheelchair-friendly access.

Pre-booking is not required; simply wait at a designated pick up point for the next available buggy. The service has pick up points from the following locations:

• Richmond Station
• Jolimont Station
• Accessible Parking Area

Post-match: 5.15pm - 6.00pm

Two sensory spaces will be available during the 2024 Grand Final. These spaces are for patrons of all ages who have sensory sensitivities, processing differences, or other hidden disabilities.

Quiet Zone, operated by AFL Footy Festival
Location: Yarra Park Paddock 12, next to the First Aid tent
Opening Hours: Wednesday/Thursday 10.00am - 5.00pm and Friday/Saturday 9.00am - 5.00pm

Sensory Friendly Space, operated by the MCG
Location: Australian Sports Museum, inside Gate 3 on Level 1 of the Olympic Stand (behind M51)
Opening Hours: Saturday September 28 11.30am - 6.00pm
