MCG to host four matches for BBL|15
The MCG is set to host four Big Bash League (BBL) matches for the 15th edition of the competition, with the suite of MCG matches beginning on Thursday December 18.
The Melbourne Stars begin their season with a thrilling match-up against the reigning premiers – the Hobart Hurricanes – at the MCG on December 18, before a break in the MCG’s BBL fixture to accommodate the Boxing Day Test.
The team returns for three matches in January to close off the season – headlined by the Melbourne derby against the Renegades on Sunday January 4.
The Stars round out their season at the ‘G against the Sydney Sixers on January 8 and the Adelaide Strikers on January 13.
The four matches come in addition to an action-packed international schedule, which includes a T20I between Australia and India on October 31 and The Ashes Boxing Day Test between arch rivals Australia and England from December 26.
