Seating Structure
The MCG has four levels of seating which are represented by different letters - M, N, P and Q. Your seat ticket will contain your seating section (which begins with one of the previously listed four letters along with a number corresponding to its location in the stadium, such as M26 or Q31), your row letter (in alphabetical order from A-Z before repeating from AA, BB and so on) and a seat number.
- M sections are on Level 1 (ground level)
- N sections are on Level 2
- P sections are on Level 3 (Level 2A in the Shane Warne Stand)
- Q sections are on Level 4
General Admission Seating
The availability and location of general admission (GA) seating at the MCG is determined on a match-by-match basis.
GA seating locations vary from match to match. For high demand matches, there may be no GA seating at all as the match will be declared a 'fully ticketed event'.
When available, GA seating is confirmed 24 hours before the start of each event at the MCG and is then published on the event page. Further information on general admission seating areas can be found on each of our event pages.

Undercover Seating
Due to the difficulty in accurately classifying any seat at the MCG as "undercover", even though there is a roof overhead in some sections of the ground, patrons cannot be guaranteed protection from the elements.
As a guide however, please read below to see where the drip line for each level lies.
- Level 1 (M): Row Y
- Level 2 (N): Row H
- Level 3 (P): All undercover
- Level 4 (Q): All undercover
- Level 1 (M): Row Y
- Level 2 (N): Row H
- Level 4 (Q): All undercover (please note: no cover in sections Q56-Q57)
- Level 1 (M): Row Y
- Level 2 (N): Row H
- Level 4 (Q): All undercover (please note: no cover in sections Q29-Q30)
- Level 1 (M): Row Y
- Level 2 (N): Row B
- Level 3 (P): No cover
- Level 4 (Q): All undercover
