The MCG is set to host a packed schedule of matches as the AFL announces the dates and timings of Rounds 16-22 of the 2026 AFL Premiership Season.

Twelve matches across Rounds 16-22 have been confirmed at the 'G, with Rounds 23 and 24 to be scheduled at a later date. The closing rounds of the home-and-away season promise plenty of storylines, both for clubs in the hunt for finals and those building towards the future.

The run begins in Round 16 as Hawthorn hosts the GWS GIANTS, before a Saturday twilight clash between Collingwood and Richmond.

Round 17 brings one of the competition's oldest rivalries as Richmond and Carlton face each other for the second time this season. In Round 18, Carlton hosts Hawthorn and Melbourne hosts Richmond in matches that prove important as the finals picture begins to take shape.

In Round 19, Collingwood takes on Carlton during Saturday prime time, followed by Richmond v Hawthorn on Sunday afternoon. Round 20 sees Melbourne take on Geelong Cats in a Friday night blockbuster, before Hawthorn and Essendon add another chapter to their fierce rivalry.

Two games feature in Round 21, with Collingwood meeting Geelong Cats in a match that could be critical in the race for finals, before Richmond hosts the West Coast Eagles in a battle of emerging talent.

Round 22 sees Melbourne host Fremantle, before Rounds 23 and 24 close out the 2026 season, with dates and times to be confirmed.
